Gifter: Enhance your digital gift giving and receiving

Gifter: Enhance your digital gift giving and receiving

Gifter was designed as part of a class project, in which my 3-person team was tasked to transform gift-giving. We discovered a hole in the market: there is no universal platform to exchange digital gifts, leading to gift emails lost in inboxes and gift-cards going unused. We designed an API-based platform that centralizes gift-giving, and also motivates people to give more gifts through features such as a 'Reaction Selfie' and gamification techniques.

LifeKey: Emergency communication tool for the Deaf

LifeKey: Emergency communication tool for the Deaf

LifeKey is a custom keyboard that facilitates communication between the Deaf and emergency personnel. We were initially tasked with developing a tool that would improve health literacy among Deaf individuals, as part of a partnership between the Regional Health Literacy Coalition and the Carnegie Mellon University School of Design. We found that communicating in an emergency situation was particularly stressful for the Deaf, and worked with emergency services and the Deaf to design this custom keyboard/app.

BuddyBowl: Track your dog's eating habits

BuddyBowl: Track your dog's eating habits

BuddyBowl was designed as part of a class project to create a Kickstarter-like video for a iOT product concept. One of my roles in this 3-person project was designing the app screens we displayed within the video.

Rcopia Mobile: Mobile medication prescribing for doctors

Rcopia Mobile: Mobile medication prescribing for doctors

Rcopia Mobile is a mobile accompaniment for DrFirst's flagship product, a web-based medication prescribing tool. As part of a backend and frontend overhaul of the software, the company wanted to develop its first mobile offering since the Palm Pilot, one that satisfied both standalone and integrated users' needs. I was the Product Manager and co-UX Designer on the project.

Threewords: Have fun testing your vocabulary

Threewords: Have fun testing your vocabulary

After learning a multi-player word party game simply called 'The Dictionary Game' from a friend who had played it when younger, I decided to create a digital version of the game for my final project in the User Experience Design night course at General Assembly DC. Threewords is a single-player mobile app word game that provides users with definitions of words, and challenges them to guess the words being defined.

Akario Backline: Secure instant messaging for healthcare providers

Akario Backline: Secure instant messaging for healthcare providers

Chatting applications are fast and easy for workplace collaboration, but government regulations such as HIPAA prohibit physicians and nurses from messaging patient information over insecure communication channels. Akario Backline is secure messaging application that works on iOS, Android, and web. It's designed specifically for messaging around patient coordination. I worked as a Product Specialist and then Associate Product Manager on the product, writing product requirements for an Agile development team and training teams from other departments such as Sales and Support.
